The recording is uploaded so Clipdio can process it. You can share a link, and anyone with that link can watch until you stop sharing or delete the project. Free accounts get 3 cloud videos, up to 500 MB and 15 minutes each. After a paid credit pack, uploads can be 2 GB and 30 minutes, with no video cap. A full refund returns the account to the free limits.
Editing and rendering run on your computer. Kokoro voices and Whisper timing run locally. You can add your own OpenRouter, Gemini, OpenAI, Anthropic or ElevenLabs key, and those keys stay in the desktop app. Work paid with Clipdio credits is sent to OpenRouter or ElevenLabs.
Credits pay for AI requests and ElevenLabs voices. Credits do not expire. Desktop Kokoro voices, Whisper timing and local rendering do not use credits. A cloud upload does not use credits by itself.

With the default models, the in-app estimate for a 60 second recording is 8 to 19 credits for the AI. The app shows that range before a credit-funded run. The final charge is 3 times the provider's measured cost, rounded up to the next credit, with a minimum of 1 credit.
Length, the vision model, the writer model and another rewrite change the charge. Writing the script again is charged again. An ElevenLabs voice is about 66 credits per 1,000 characters, or about 33 with Flash or Turbo. Speaking a line again with ElevenLabs is charged again. Regenerating a Kokoro line on the desktop app does not use credits.
A refund of a pack you already spent can take the balance below zero. An AI charge that comes in higher than the balance can do the same.
